Joined Good Reads
​
If you are a reader, a bibliophile, or just someone who loves a good story, Good Reads (http://www.goodreads.com/) is a good website to check out. It allows you to create a list of books you've read and even those you want to read, and to rate them. Based on your ratings and previous choices, the site generates suggestions of other books you might like to read. There are also games and quizzes about what you've read and more... check it out!
Getting Into LibraryThing
LibraryThing (http://www.librarything.com/) is another good site for people who love to read and discuss books. Like Good Reads, you can list books you've read and rate them, but on LibraryThing you can also write your own review, read others' thoughts, and join discussions about the books. And yes, I am an author on LibraryThing, so feel free to post a review, rating or whatever you like.
Shelfari
Like the sites I've already mentioned, Shelfari (www.shelfari.com/)is a place to create a virtual book shelf and, since it's run by Amazon, the site is only too happy to suggest other titles that may interest you. Shelfari also offers a tool to import your reading lists from other sites like those above, but with the pinpoint accuracy of a nearsighted leper with a hand grenade. So if you check out my book shelf there, you may find some titles I'd never read in a million years. I'm trying to weed them out and remove them. Shelfari adds another element to the idea, by offering a friend/follow option that borrows from Facebook and Twitter.

Authonomy

Please feel free to stop by and have a look and, by all means, leave your comments! While you're on Authonomy, have a look around; the site is powered by Harper Collins and promotes new writers and their work while encouraging readers and their input.

I am on Booksie (http://booksie.com/dl_conner) too! Booksie is another great place to encounter new authors and countless things to read. Note to readers: the overall quality here seems to be somewhat shaky; there are numerous works on the site with serious spelling and grammar issues just in their bullet descriptions, so cave lector.

I am listed on Book Hitch (http://www.bookhitch.com/). Book Hitch is basically a gateway to Amazon and other booksellers, but does allow you to search based on genre and keywords, and to rate books. Please feel free to rate Night in a Bad Place while you're there!

On Scribd, however, samples abound from authors well known and otherwise, and there is a premium membership that allows instant access to full texts. A basic membership is FREE.
